Obituary of Dwight M. Hatter

Dwight Hatter, 70, of Cassopolis, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side. Dwight Hatter was born on April 21, 1944 in Dowagiac to the late George and Leonora (Hubbard) Hatter. He worked at Clark Equipment for many years as a welder and later at United Store Fixtures. On May 29, 1965 he married the love of his life Molly (Moon) Hatter at a ceremony in Dowagiac. He is survived by his wife, son Dwight Andrew (Michelle) Hatter of Vicksburg, two daughters, Melissa (John "Jay") Waldschmidt of Dowagiac, Jennifer (David) Kaminski of Mobile, Alabama, 11 grandchildren, two brothers, George (Carole) Hatter of Dowagiac, Harold (Lucy) Hatter of Jacksonville, Florida, two sisters, Delores (Edward) Kieta of California and Janice (Rocky) Mengel of Dowagiac. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In keeping with Dwight's wishes cremation has taken place and the family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Dowagiac Conservation Club; 54551 M-51, Dowagiac, Michigan 49047. Memorial contributions may be made in Dwight's memory to the Dowagiac Conservation Club "Youth Program"; 54551 M-51, Dowagiac, Michigan 49047.
