Obituary of Beverly Ann Krause

Beverly Krause, 73, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. Beverly Krause was born on November 6, 1940 in Benton Harbor to the late Lawrence and Grace (Babcock) Totzke. On 1964 she married the love of her life Donald Krause at a ceremony in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1958. In 1984 the two of them purchased Land-Of-Lakes campground in Sister Lakes and managed it ever since. She is survived by her husband, son Donald Krause Jr. of Benton Harbor, three daughters; Deborah Lefor of Dowagiac, Cheryl Krause of Dowagiac, Sandra (Terry) Burgess of Watervliet, four grandchildren; Michael Gettig Jr., Robert Gettig, Aaron Krause, Austin Burgess, twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Miller of Benton Harbor and Carolyn Schuler of Stevensville. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, collecting movies of all sorts, visiting guests at the campground and most of all spending precious time with her family and grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home at 11:00 am with a time of visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at North Shore Memory Gardens. A luncheon will follow at Calvary Bible Church; 3300 Territorial Road, Benton Harbor, Michigan.
