Obituary of Henry Andrew Hodgson

Henry A Hodgson, 69, of Cassopolis, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 in his home after a battle with cancer. Henry was born on June 11, 1944, in Howard Township, Cass County Michigan to the late Albert "Lee" and Wilma (Kirkpatrick) Hodgson. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, David, Beatrice, Jonathan and a great nephew Bobby Lee Richardson. Henry is survived by one brother and two sisters: Reuben (Janet) Hodgson, Rickey (Brian) Bannow of Dowagiac, and Hilda (Kevin Winters) Squibb of Mishawaka, IN. Also surviving are sister-in-laws, Bonnie Hodgson of Bakersfield, MO and Alice Hodgson of Gonzales, LA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Vickie (Jerry) Richardson, Danny Hodgson, Bakersfield, MO, Robby (Krissy) Hodgson, Udall, MO and Jim (Chris) Hodgson, Caufield, MO, Susan (Rodney) Wright, Marcellus, MI, Karen (John) Murphy, Dowagiac, MI and Lesley (Mike Manfredi) Squibb, Mishawaka, IN. His step nephews and niece, Darrell and Vincent Ward, Rachel Ward Bragon of Gonzales, LA. He also leaves a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing, watching TV and socializing. Henry always handed out a piece of candy to those he met on his day outings, this not only put a smile on Henry's face but in his heart. Henry was a regular client at the Cass County Council on Aging, Cassopolis, where he spent many hours. Throughout his lifetime he was formerly employed at, Diamond Harbor Inn, Kinders, Bonnie & Clydes, and Westgate Center.
