I always loved Aunt Alice. She had such a cute, ornery smile. I'll never forget how loud mom and her talked when they were together - I wanted to hold my hands over my ears when we were in the car with them! They really loved each other, and Mom said Alice always watched out for her. Mom and Alice came to visit Mark and I when we lived in Florida. We had just gotten two dogs. They were wary of strangers and tried to keep Mom and Aunt Alice from coming out of their rooms in the mornings. I told them to give the dogs treats, so every morning at breakfast Aunt Alice would dutifully feed them treats. Mom wouldn't do it, so the dogs liked Aunt Alice better than Mom!
