I have been blessed to become a friend of Dale's for the last couple years of his life. We always went on "Great Adventures" together. There was never a dull moment! He told me all about his time spent in the Navy and some about his life after the Navy that he remembered. He always wanted to go on a trip or have a double date with our girlfriends. Dale was always very positive on his outlook for life. He lived his life to the fullest and was happy with everything that he had accomplished along his life's journey. He always told me he was interested in my success in life and encouraged me to keep doing well in every that I do. I hold on to memories that we shared together and by his example I will try to live my life fully so that someday I may share my happiness with a youngster life myself.

I was very blessed to be a part of Dales life at the end. He shared his life story one night. He shared how he met the love of his life, Doris. His face would just shine when he mentioned her, and He looked forward to seeing her every day! He was a blessing to know and be a "friend" of. Many Blessings! Elizabeth

What a wonderful teacher Mr. Bowen was to all of us in Montrose. A man who showed us respect and taught us how to respect. I had a great time working with him on the mud volleyball tournaments during the Bluberry festival back in the late 80's. I know I speak for many many students of his when I say I will always and fondly remember him. RIP in Mr. Bowen. - Brian Bell
