Mr. Palenchar was a great guy, had a dry sense of humor, and always with a smile and encouraging word. His quiet calm and peaceful insight are things I will never forget. I often thought of him as my "other" Dad! I'll never forget the humorous line he told Dave and me one morning after we had been out too late the night before.....regretfully, space and manners won't allow me to repeat it here. Suffice it to say that Dave and I were laughing so hard we could barely breathe! Greg Hahn

I rememember many summer days and nights playing basketball with Mr. Palenchar and Dave and whoever else wandered by. Even though we were young kids, I'm not sure his team ever lost! That being said, when he would position hinself under the basket, you needed to be prepared for a push out of nowhere, your shirt pulled as you went up or a hip check! LOL I'm not sure he ever admitted to a foul, but would always laugh! Such fun memories playing in that drvieway. My family's condolences to yours.
