Dear Jarman Family, Our memories go way back when we lived next door to y'all on Pucker St Dr. We have been in SC for 36 years now, but we remember Shirley fondly. We are remembering you in prayer and enjoyed reading the tributes to Shirley's life. It sounds like y'all are making her proud. God bless you as you learn to walk without her presence in your life, but praying the life lessons she taught you will carry you through as you trust in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. With deepest sympathy, Bob, Betty Haimbaugh

My Love and prayers for all of you!!! Aunt Shirley was one of a kind!! I always loved her rye sense of humor and how no matter what was going on in her life she always had a smile and a joke to share. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of visits to Aunt Shirley and Uncle Jays house!! I have often been told that I remind people of her and I have always appreciated the compliment. She lived her life with dignity and grace and no apologies!! We could all learn a lesson from that. I know that I will see her in Heaven one day but until then she will be forever in my Heart. I know there is a lot more laughter in Heaven with her there!!! I love you Aunt Sue!!! Mary

My heart goes out to all of you. Aunt Shirley was always like a mom to me. She showed unconditional love to everyone. She pulled up her sleeves to life and she confronted whatever came her way with dignity and she spoke what was on her mind with grace. So many fond memories but the one phrase I use often " I'm not conceited, I'm convinced... Conceit is a fault and I haven't any " so long for now sweet lady, we will be together again... But not today..love always.. Melinda

The most profound memories I have of Grandma Jarman is when I was about 4-5 years old and my mother, Dolly, Jimmy, and Myself all lived with Grandma, and Grandpa, and I remember Grandma always walking around singing her church songs, and teaching them to us. Dolly, Jimmy, and I would compete with each other to see who could learn it first (like we thought then we would be her favorite), then the three of us would run around all day singing Grandmas song of the day. I can honestly say that I have never met another person capable of carrying with them the amount of love that Grandma kept in her heart always.

I remember grandma teaching me to play rummy. I have no idea how old i was, had to be 5ish or so, but talk about patients, i was a pain in the ass. I use to stay at her house every weekend just to play for hours at a time. I would always win so i thought i was awesome at it. Then we had a large game, a few of us playing, and i horribly lost every hand. I didn't realize it then, she was letting me win. I've never been a "good winner". I would talk so much trash, and she would let me when again.
I should of went.
