Robert E. Baird III, 70, of Battle Creek, passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 2, 2014, following an illness.
He was born on October 11, 1944 to the late Robert E. II and Jean (Feltner) Baird.
He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and worked most of his life as a truck driver. He enjoyed Camping, fishing and hunting, gardening, cookouts and the Detroit Tigers.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathrin Baird and a step-son Rick Wooten.
He is survived by his children; Robert "Bobby" E. Baird, IV of Battle Creek, Stacy (Mike) Cosgrove of Battle Creek, Michael Baird of Battle Creek, two step-children Norm Wooten and Tammy Wooten both of Battle Creek, his grandchildren; Michael (Ariel) Cosgrove, Shelby, Cody and Kaitlyn Cosgrove all of Battle Creek, a sister Diane Baird of Battle Creek and a brother Leslie Baird of New York.
A service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at New Hope Apostolic Church at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 13146 W. Michigan Street in Marshall, Michigan.
Memorial contributions can be made in Bob's memory to his family.
