Obituary of Charles K Jost

Charles K. Jost, 80, of Edwardsburg, passed away at Silverbrook Nursing Home in Niles on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He was born on August 17, 1932 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Joseph and Isabella (King) Jost. On April 26, 2009 he married Retha Ann at a ceremony in Niles, Michigan. He worked for many years in tool and die and was very active in volunteer firefighting, including being a chief for many years. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. He is survived by his wife Retha Ann Jost of Edwardsburg, his children; Jeff, Brian, Bruce and Charlene Jost and Jennifer Weisner, three step-children; Gina Hicks, Regina Lash and Kenneth Tucker and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charles served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made in Charles memory to his family.
