Obituary of Robert Perkins

Robert L. Perkins, 74, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital on Sunday, December 21, 2014. Robert was born on May 4, 1940 to the late Charles and Bessie Perkins in Dowagiac, Michigan. He was one of ten children in the Perkins household. On February 1, 1960 Robert wed the love of his life, Nancy Gant, at a ceremony in Cassopolis, Michigan. In July of 2002 Robert retired from Michiana Box & Crate. Robert's family will be hosting a memorial service on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Victory Tabernacle Church located at 33440 Middle Crossing Road in Dowagiac. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Charles Perkins and Bessie Kennedy and son Robert Leroy Perkins. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Perkins; children, Patricia Boelcke of South Bend, Indiana, Patricia Smith of South Bend, and Robert Perkins of Niles; grandchildren, Joseph Boelcke and Allison Smith; and five great grandchildren.
