Jerry and the nursery were great neighbors from the time we moved to Niles in 1973. We have missed him since his retirement. Our son had great respect for him the years he was employed at the nursery. May he rest in peace. Norm & Vicki Guentert, Yankee St. neighbors.

Pam and family, so sorry for your loss. I knew Jerry for over 40 years from when I first started working for him at the farm. He kind of took me under his wing and introduced me to MSU. After college I had the pleasure of working with him for many years before we parted ways. He was always looking to bring the best out in others and will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to you all. I worked for Jerry during the summers when I was in college. He taught me a lot about life and about the value of hard work. I stopped by to visit him several times before he sold the business and introduced him to my wife and kids. I am grateful to have had him for a boss and to have known him as a person. I will not be able to come for the visitation, but please know that he is in my thoughts and prayers.
