Mildred I. Ferri, 86, of Niles, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at West Woods of Niles, following an extended illness. She was born on August 23, 1928 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Leon and Edith (Burnworth) Mallet. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mario Ferri, her husband, two brothers, DeWitt and Dean Mallett, sister Nola Eynon. Mildred is survived by five daughters; Joyce Yeats of Niles, Martha (John) Kiefhaber of Topeka, Kansas, Cindy (David) Chambo of Southfield, Michigan, Traci (Glen) Smith of Niles and Terrie (George) Mitev of Naples, a son Tony Ferri of Chicago. Loving step-mother of Mario Jr. and Dana. Loving grand mother of 10. Loving great-grand mother of 14. Mildred most loved her family, children, animals and cooking. Nothing made her happier than cooking meals for her large family amongst laughter and love. Many will remember her from both her restaurant "Mario's Supper Club", as well as running the lunch program at St. Mary's Catholic School in Niles. In keeping with Mildred's wishes, no public services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan www.humanesocietyswm.org
