Obituary of Shirley F Perez

Shirley F. Perez, 77, of Niles, passed away June 7, 2015 at Hanson Hospice Center. Shirley was born on March 13th, 1938 to the late Joseph and Etta (Parsons) Kirk in Boonville, NY. After graduating high school, Shirley attended college in upstate New York, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in nursing. Shirley retired after many years of service working in emergency rooms as well as the Director of Nursing in South Bend. In May of 1973 she married Richard Perez in Chicago. She loved to crochet, go for Sunday drives with her husband, especially during the fall and enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Jude's Catholic Church in South Bend. Shirley is survived by her husband; Richard Perez of 42 years, Three children; Keith (Sylvia) Szocinski of Missouri, Sharon Shenenberger of Indiana, Heidi (Dan) Clem of Florida and 4 grandchildren. In keeping with Shirley's wishes, she will be remembered privately. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hanson Hospice Center.
