My sincerest condolenses to Penny, Cory, Kevin and all the Brazo clan. I'm just devestated! I'm the one who shared the cabin in Chasell, MI. near the river Pike.
Sometimes affectionately referred to as the "Chasell Hilton" at "da Tech". Many, many fond memories with Gil while at MTU. Will be seeing good buddy Roger Wakelam this weekend here in Denver, CO for a visit. We'll be thinking of Gil a lot. I will miss him so much. Your friend, Claude "CB" Edwards.

I remember him from "da Tech". He and Claude Edwards lived in a cabin In Chassel with running water, you had to run next door to get it. Very reasonable rent, $10.00 per month split 2 ways. One day the landlord butchered a goat and that Saturday night we all feasted on barbqued goat ribs and Bosch.

Gil was a friend, colleague and mentor. Even though I've known the Brazo family since I was a kid, I really got to know Gil working with him at Huntington. He made my job interesting and fun...hard to do in the banking world!! I especially enjoyed going on our "field trips" to area businesses and farms. He really helped establish the roots of my professional life. He will be missed!!!

Penny and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you today. Gil will be missed by so many. Ray worked with Gil at FMB Community Bank for 9 years. Penny, you and Gil were the most community minded couple we had ever had the priviledge of knowing. Many people are apprehensive of change. Gil looked forward to change as he pointed out the positive aspects and helped change negative attitudes. He filled many a void as key lending people would leave the bank .While filling that void admirably, he continued doing his own job with excellence.
