Obituary of Robert Eugene Howe

Robert E. Howe, 87, of Berrien Center, Michigan passed away at The Timbers of Cass County, in Dowagiac, Michigan on Sunday, August 9, 2015. He was born on April 26, 1928 to the late William and Esther (Herman) Howe in Buchanan, Michigan. He wed Virginia Christy at a ceremony in Buchanan in 1952; that same year, Robert joined the military, serving his country for two years. Robert worked for many years as a machinist for National Standard, in Buchanan; after retiring he enjoyed spending time outdoors mowing and traveling with his wife. He is preceded in death by his parent's; wife, Virginia Howe, brothers; Gordon and Jack Howe, sisters; Hilda Leidy and Shirley Dewey. Robert is survived by his children; Terry (Sherri) Howe, Larry Howe, Denise (Doug) Ennis, Tina Howe and Scott (Lisa) Howe, siblings; Ronnie Howe, Raymond Howe, Linda Sperry and Jenny (Bob) Conway, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Donations may be made in Robert's memory to, Berrien County Animal Control, 9204 Huckleberry Rd, Berrien Center, MI 49102. A graveside service to honor Robert's life will be held, at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Eleven O'clock in the Morning. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at The Berrien Center Township Hall from one - five pm.
