Alma Sue Tarner, 71, of Niles Michigan passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born to the Late Herbert and Mary (Myers) Low on June 24, 1944 in Niles, Michigan. Alma is preceded in death by her sister Arletta Ringer. She is survived by her three daughters; Mary (Tracy) Krause, Jennifer (Marc) Gillette and Amy Davis; brother's, Larry (Sharon) Low and Ron Low; sisters, Alta (Ray) Hood and Ann (Loy) Fishburn; grandchildren, Mandy and James Krause, Michael and Michelle Frazier, Trevor, Amber and Laura Davis. Alma enjoyed square dancing and music; she loved sharing her passion for singing with her family. After her diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, Alma joined groups to support others and was continually researching new studies to share it with people. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honor of Alma may do so to The National Parkinson's Foundation. Contribution should be made payable to Abbott Hall, 11th floor, suite 1118 710 North Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60611. In keeping with Alma's wishes, her body has been donated for medical research.A celebration of Alma's life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11am at 1901 S. 17th Street, Niles, Michigan 49120 with a luncheon for family and friends to follow.
