Obituary of Lawrence Taylor

Lawrence Taylor Jr., 81, of Benton Harbor, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. He was born April 11, 1934, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Laurence and Neva (Bingham) Taylor. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Thelma (Behnke) Taylor, sister; June Deering, brother; Jackie Taylor and grandson; Richard Howard. In March 1957, Lawrence wed Thelma Behnke at a ceremony in Benton Harbor, at The Church of God. He is survived by his children; Lawrence J. Taylor, of Benton Harbor, Tari (Rick) Howard of Benton Harbor, Evelyn (John) Franks of Missouri, Edna (Jim) Enos of Mississippi, Sandy (Steve) Stowe of Greenville, Michigan, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Lawrence worked for Clark Equipment for twenty-three years. He enjoyed auto mechanics and spent many hours working on cars. Later in life, Lawrence found an interest in Michigan History and joined several groups across the state. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 2 O'clock in the afternoon with an hour of visitation prior.
