Obituary of Nancy Jean Wood

Nancy J. Wood, 75, of Niles, previously of Marshall, passed away at home, Saturday, October 17, 2015. She was born to the late Francis and Agnes (Ferrel) Culver, February 11, 1940, in Albion, Michigan. In 1960, she married Richard Wood at a ceremony in Adrian, MI., Nancy graduated from Olivet College in the Spring of 1987, with a bachelor's degree in business. Nancy loved the game of golf, crafting and fixing things around the house. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; Francis and Agnes, husband; Richard Wood, sisters; Francine Culver and Margaret Roberts and brother; Robert Culver, grandson; Joshua DeClercq. She is survived by her children; Kevin Wood, Keith (Harriett) Wood, Bryce (Robin) Wood and Catherine Wood, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. There will be a time of visitation to honor Nancy's life on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Craig K. Kempf Family Funeral Home; 723 Old US 27, Marshall, Michigan 49068. A graveside service will be held at Rice Creek Cemetery in Lee Township on Monday October 26, 2015 at 1 O'clock in the afternoon. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Nancy may do so to the American Cancer association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Niles, Michigan.
