Obituary of Janet Murphy

Janet Louise Murphy, 78, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. She was born in Washington, D.C., on March 29th, 1937. Janet was a resident of the Battle Creek area for over thirty years, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Defense Logistics Services Center of Battle Creek, for twenty-three years. Janet leaves to cherish her memory to her loving children; Tiffanie Guinn, of Sanford, Florida, Tisha (Dennis) Aguila, their daughters; Jordan (18) and Jenna (16), of Apopka, Florida, a son and two grandchildren. At Janet's request, her body has been donated to science and her family remembered her privately at her favorite restaurant, Lone Star Steakhouse; to share memories and stories about her life. She is preceded in death by her adopted- parents, John and Hazel (Butterfield) Carter.
