Thoughts, prayers, and lots of love are with your family. Scott will be missed. I will always be grateful to Scott and his family for being so good to my family (especially to Buck, Ann, David and Rachel) and for always being there for us. He hooked me up with my first Jeep and some rugged tires, after giving me grief about how the gas mileage would be terrible he still got me what I wanted.:) We are so sorry for this loss!

Jacque, Gail and I are so sorry for your loss. Scott was one of the most generous and kind people I have ever met. My condolences to all of Scott's family. I've been seeing him in my mind's eye in his tow truck with two little girls sitting beside him and giggling. All of his grandchildren meant so much to him and he enjoyed them so much. I've been reading how much Scott did for others. The one thing I know is -- there's probably no one who knows all of the things he's done over the years for so many people. But each of those people went away knowing an angel had come into their lives. Scott would say, "oh no. I'm no angel". But Scott, you really are. . . take it easy on those new wings and when God starts talkin' . . . let Him. :)

Before even reading others' comments of Scott Clark I know the common theme will be GENEROSITY ! I have been a close friend of Scott's for over 40 years and worked with him on a number of occasions and can testify of his GIVING nature. Whether it be the giving of his time, his advice, the loan of his shop or equipment or so many other ways, he had such a generous heart and passion to help his family, friends, and even strangers in need ! He and I had many common interests and I am so grateful myself to have known such a man. He had helped me in various situations a number of times and asked for nothing in return but my loyalty and friendship. Thank you Scott Clark for just being yourself, a giving, loving person. I certainly will miss seeing you and chatting with you. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jacque and all of Scott's family, his Mother, and the many, many close friends who mourn his passing! I haven't seen Scott in several years, but spent some time with him while coaching at Babe Ruth and enjoyed watching him shake things up on the city council for the good of the town. To Jackie and family, I have deeply been touched with the passing of Scott. He was a dear friend. In life if you can find two or three good friends you have been blessed. Our sincere condolences go out to Jacque and her family. Jacque is my husband's cousin. We don't live in or anywhere around Niles, Michigan; therefore, unfortunately we never had the pleasure or honor of getting to know Scott. But from reading all these wonderful, touching, heartfelt comments on this Life Tributes page, we missed out knowing a very loving, caring and generous man. The community is certainly at a loss as well due to all of his involvement in the city council. He's obviously at peace now; for that, we're happy for him. My cousin Jacque was one of my very favorite people when we were growing up. Scott became one of my and my husband's favorites also. We live out of state now. Whenever we flew in for a visit, Scott insisted we use one of his cars, (always fill of gas), offered to let us stay with them, and usually fed us. Have you ever tried to buy Scott dinner? It's nearly impossible! We were lucky enough to buy his model A Ford, and think of him every time we see it. Everyone is right, he will truly be missed. It looks like many people were blessed to have known him and Jacque.

My heart is heavy at this news. Jacque and Scott took such good care of my kids whenever I needed a helping hand. Scott graduated with our Daughter Laura Rotzien. We have many great memories of Scott sitting on our couch making smoke rings come out of his ears! He was at our house numerous times making us laugh at his many antics. As a businessman he would be fair and give helpful advice. I have read so many wonderful things about Scott and I agree with each and every one of them but as I read and thought of how great Scott was it came to me.....Sure he was caring, giving, big hearted, a community pillar, and helped me( as it sounds like he helped many others) out in a few jams in my life......but the one thing that I will never forget is how he believed in me. It was truly a privilege to call Scott a friend. He was what being a friend is all about. Scott and Jacque made a lot of my family events such as kids graduations, special birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and retirement party. Just about everything. I am willing to bet that many others can say the same thing. When ever we needed help in any way, he was there. So giving, so helpful, so passionate in that helping. I for one and so obvious, many others will truly miss this man. There are not too many out there like Scott. He will never be replaced. Rest in peace my friend. I will miss you dearly and think of you often. Thoughts and prayers to Jacque and the rest of your family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Scottys family, I have known him and Jacque a long time, they bought tires from us for as long as I can remember, I remember the day he came into the shop and showed me his new leg and how he had it painted! When I was in Rush hospital in Chicago during one of my liver crisis es, prior to my liver transplant Jacque and Scott drove over to visit me. Aside from my best friend, Suzi Hibberd, my husband, Dan and my sister, Dee, they were the only visitors I had. I hadn't expected anyone since it was a 3 hour drive from Niles. Jacque and Scott made it sound like it was no big deal to jump on the interstate and stop by for a visit. I will always cherish that memory.

Scott will be missed by everyone, I met Scott when I was about 16 he lived just down the street from another good friend who is gone now too. Scott was like the the guy who was everyones friend. Good or bad you aways knew you could talk to him even if he was busy. Which he was all the time. Good or bad I set him up with a date with his 1st wife. Scott was so good to me & others all through his life. God is lucky to have him home with him now , it will make us sad he's no longer here with us. I wish to offer my deepest sympathy to Scott's family and friends. I have very fond memories of Scott. When we were much younger my husband, Dave, used to hang out with Scott , when he had a service station on the corner of Main St and 9th St. We got to know his parents well, also. Scott was a good friend to Dave. One fond memory is when Scott drove his Shelby Mustang and Dave drove his Black Z28 up to the Michigan 500? (I think that is what it's called). Dave and Scott raced against each other. I don't remember who won. But by the end of the evening they were losing because they had to race against motorcycles . Both of them were very unhappy with those events. But it was a great day out. If Dave, hadn't passed away in March, he would be very sad to hear about Scott. I am truly very sorry and will keep his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. With my deepest sympathy , Rhonda Witham
