Roger "Bill" Kennedy, 73, of Dowagiac, passed away at his home in Dowagiac on Thursday, December 31, 2015.
Bill was born on April 26, 1942 to the late Richard and Vivian (Bowers) Kennedy. He joined the United States Army and later worked as farmer and tree trimmer. On March 17, 1975 Bill wed Jeanette Yost. Together they had five children. Bill loved hunting, fishing and watching baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Ray Kennedy and Vivian (Bowers) Kennedy Steininger; wife, Jeanette Kennedy, daughter, Barbara Kennedy and her son; and brother, Richard Kennedy.
Bill is survived by his children William (Emma) Kennedy of Kentucky, Kenneth Kennedy of South Carolina and Rose Kennedy of Missouri and Marvin (Teri) Kennedy of Goshen; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and siblings Sharon Northrop of South Carolina, Patricia Casey of Dowagiac, and Bonnie Gentry of Georgia.
In keeping with Bill's wishes he has been cremated and his family will be remembering him privately.
