Obituary of Theresa Helen Cwynar

Mrs. Theresa Cwynar, age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Niles Michigan. She was born in Muskegon Heights on November 28, 1928 to Theodore and Theresa (Kozel) Ostradick. On October 8, 1955, she married Walter J. Cwynar and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1996. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and belonged to the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Union. She was employed at J. C. Penney, retiring in 1992 after 21 years of service. Survivors include two children, Catherine (Rick) Kops and Anthony (Karen) Cwynar; two grandchildren, Eric (Julia) Kops and Ryan Kops; one great-grandson, Roman Kops; and one brother, Ted Ostradick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Ostradick and Theresa Vandak; three sisters, Lillian Edlund, Mary Cooper, and Frances Butas; and two brothers, William and Frank Ostradick.
