Obituary of Eileen Adams

Eileen Adams, 74, of Niles passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, February 15, 2016.
Eileen leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Robert L. Adams, daughters; Theresa (Matthew) Miller of Nashville, MI and Rebecca (Douglas) Strong of South Bend, IN, and grandchildren: Rebecca, Noah (USMC), Elizabeth, Jacob, Katie and Toby.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Louis and Helen (Cnota) Konopka. Eileen is survived by siblings, Stanley and Christine. Louis Konopka, Jr., preceded her in death in 2015.
Eileen was born in Chicago, IL. She attended White Temple School, graduated from Sam Adams High School, and earned her BA from MSU in 1964. She taught English and Latin at Brandywine.
On June 10, 1967, Eileen married Robert Louis Adams at St. Ann's Church in Cassopolis.
Eileen enjoyed serving the community: Cass County 4-H, St. Mark Christian Mothers, organist at St. Ann and St. Mark Churches, room mother at St. Mary's School, and Cass County District Library Board.
The Memorial Mass for Eileen Adams will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Saint Mark Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas King, C.S.C. assisted by Brother Dennis Meyers, C.S.C.
Memorial donations may be made in Eileen's name to The Cass County District Library; 319 M-62, Cassopolis, MI 49031 or The Cass County Humane Society; 323 M-62 North, Cassopolis, MI 49031.
