Shirley and I had a very special and close relationship. I haven't seen her often as our lives took different paths over the years. When we did see each other, she would always cry, we would hug and never left without saying we loved each other. I grew up next door to the Gowen's and I babysat the four kids. As I grew up, I would sit on a stool at their kitchen counter as she cooked dinner. I would talk about my day. She would laugh at my antics and cry when I was hurt. The biggest bond we had was our emotional bond because of her support and love during one of the most difficult times of my life. I will never forget her and I am so thankful that God put her in my life.

Than she's ever been before;
