Betsy Dutton, 64, of Dowagiac, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016.
Betsy was born on January 25, 1952 to Perry and Catherine (Werle) Hammond in San Jose, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Braswell; and brothers, Chuck Hammond and Bobby Kippen.
Betsy is survived by her children, Thomas (Tracey) Braswell of Dowagiac, David (Lisa) Braswell of Niles, Sherry Bryant of Independence, Missouri and Linda Nichols of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and siblings, Cathy (Kerry) Reeves of Dowagiac, Shawn (Penny) Hammond of Dowagiac, Linda (Bill) Derks of Houston, Texas, Carolyn "Bubbles" Chaline of Houston, Texas, Mike (Laurie) Hammond of Dowagiac, and Glen (Madeline) Hammond of Dowagiac.
In keeping with Betsy's wishes she has been cremated and her family will be holding a memorial service on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur at 11:00 a.m.
