Please share a memory of Bobbie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Barbara "Bobbie" Boblet, 72, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Verdell and Lilah (Iverson) Brendum on June 1, 1943 in Battle Creek. On March 4, 1967, Bobbie wed Robert "Bob" Boblet at a ceremony in Battle Creek, where they raised their family together. Bobbie was a devoted mother and grandmother (known as shorty by her grandchildren), and loved dancing when she was younger; nothing was more important than having her family together, especially during the holidays. Bobbie always loved Christmas and shopped all year long, including black Friday. During the summer she enjoyed time spent at the Battle Creek Balloon Festival or finding the right bargain at a garage sale. She was famous for her beef and noodles and potato salad. Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband; Bob Boblet, parents; Verdell Brendum and Lilah (Iverson) Brendum-Jones, granddaughter, Kayla Babick, sisters; Shirley Slayton and Frances Noud, two nephews; David Slayton and Brian Noud and a niece Teresa "Terry" Kinney. She is survived by her children; Traci (Andrew) Babick, Karen (Dan) Thurston and Robert (Deb Krum) Boblet Jr., brother; LeRoy Brendum and sister; Edith (Bob) Eifler, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces (known lovingly by her nieces as "little munchkin", nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 12 O'clock p.m. with a time of visitation two hours prior at the Potter's House Church; 214 Capital Ave. NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
