Joy and I were born the same day and in the same hospital, growing up within 5 miles or so of each other. She attended my cousin's country school so saw her now and then as I'd visit. Then in high school we were on the cheer leading squad together. We had great times!! I have special memories of her. She will be missed by family and friends, but those special memories will keep her forever in your hearts. Cheryl Frey

So saddened by the loss of another classmate. Joy & I did so much together at the camp where her mom worked. one fond memory was of the pet skunk. Joy & I loved to ride horses and many hours at the lake, 4 H and school. Prayers to the family. She was such a great lady.

Joy was such a part of my life growing up and beyond. We lost contact during our latter years but I often thought of her and the family. We graduated the same year and road the bus for years. Joy made my outfits for a Hawaii trip and I remember those vividly. I am saddened indeed to learn of Joy's passing. Sending hugz and prayers. Love, Judy Thornton Haight.

Joy was my second "mom" and I will forever have cherished memories of time spent in the Thomas home. She always made me feel like one of her own and for that I am blessed. You were all like family to us for so many years when we all lived in Buchanan. So many wonderful memories of Joy making clothes for me, of weddings celebrated.
