Jean (Rodgers) French, 85, of Niles, passed away on April 3, 2016 at Riverridge Manor on Sunday, April 3, 2016. Jean was born on September 14, 1930 to the late Peter and Virginia (Lower) Rodgers in Marshall, Michigan. After graduating from Niles High School Jean went on to attend Western Michigan University. Jean loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, John and Dan Wright; and brother, John Rodgers. Jean is survived by her children, Thomas (Inga) Wright of Niles, Paul Wright of Chicago, and Edward (Pamela) Wright of Niles; grandchildren, Cindy Wright-Mercado, Derek Wright, Rochelle Reeves, Jessica (Tim) Hoover, Danny Jr. (Misty) Wright, Bryan Wright, Erik Wright, Nick Wright, and Jake Wright; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and brother Pete (Anita) Rodgers of Elkhart, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home with a time of visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
