Dear Cox Family & Friends, I was very sad to hear of Dan's passing. He and I were cousins on his mother's side (my mother; Beatrice Bruce). We were born about a month apart and I have so many fond childhood memories of him. His parents and mine were very close and he lived just a few blocks from us. We enjoyed many Christmas' at our grandparents' house, summer barbeques and picnics and riding in the back of my uncle's convertibles! These are cherished memories for me. I know later in life, he suffered tragic losses and I was happy to read that he found happiness again with others doing what he loved. I hope those memories will comfort you at this very difficult time. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for Dan's loss and know that he was loved by others who are thinking of you. Dear Cox Family & Friends, My name is Andy Thatcher and Dan was my Uncle through his first wife Kris (my Mom's sister). I was very sad to see Uncle Dan's passing this week. As you know all too well, Dan was a super kind and caring person. When my sister and I were little we spent a lot of time with them. We have lots of wonderful memories of trips to Kmart, rides in the corvette and trans am, shooting pool and just hanging out. They were an important part of our lives. I live out of state, but wish i could be there in person to express my sympathies. It's good to know Uncle Dan was surrounded by the people and things he loved so very much these last many years. Danny was our neighbor. He was a quiet man, kept to himself, but always waved when he went by our house and we were outside. He was respectful on his bike, didn't kick up dust on our gravel road until he hit the pavement, then he opened it up. You could tell he loved riding his bikes. We are sorry he is gone so soon.
