Obituary of Theresa Ann Armour

Theresa Ann (Rice) Armour, 60, of Kalamazoo, passed away on Saturday morning, May 21, 2016, following a courageous battle, at Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born in Rockford, Illinois to the late Ralph "Mickey" and Alice L. (Rudd) Rice. Theresa lived most of her life in the Battle Creek area and graduated from Harper Creek High School. A homemaker most of her life, Theresa enjoyed raising her two children, Gerald and Laurie. Theresa had a special gift of caring for others and worked for many years in home healthcare. Theresa was a whiz at math and liked solving Sudoku puzzles. She also enjoyed watching mystery and crime dramas and followed Days of our Lives for years as well as cooking and time spent with family during the holidays. Theresa had a very deep faith and always appreciated visits from family and friends. Her greatest passion in life was her grandchildren and shopping (mostly at Meijer's and garage sales). She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Connie (Rod) Green and a brother, Mike Rice. Theresa is survived by her son Gerald (Ursula) Armourillo of Allegan, daughter, Laurie (Chip) Conine of Kalamazoo, five grandchildren; Hannah, Maribella, Arianna, Grady and Aiden, two sisters, Diane (Mike) Davis of Battle Creek and Peggy Rice of Portage, her former husband Gerald "Jerry" Armour, her nephews, as well as countless lives she has touched. A celebration of Theresa's life will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, 1809 Romence Road in Portage, Michigan.
