Obituary of Rickie Amos

Rickie Amos, 55, of Niles, passed away, unexpectedly but of natural causes, at his home on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Rickie was born on March 4, 1961 to the late Edgar Amos and Dorothy Mae Campbell. Rickie was always a happy man who loved to spend his time fishing, tinkering with electronics or cars in his garage but most of all Rickie loved to cook, for everyone. Rickie was the life of the party and he would grill or barbeque just about anything and always loved having his friends and family over to eat. He is preceded in death by his father, Edgar Amos; mother, Dorothy Campbell; brothers, Larry Campbell and Sonny Amos; and sister, Connie Birmingham. Rickie is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Marcus (Sarah) Phoenix of Minneola, Florida, Andrew (Tatiana) Phoenix of Clermont, Florida, Anthony Amos of Clermont, Florida, Anna Peterson of Michigan City, Indiana, Chantel (Tim) Kraemer of San Tan Valley, Arizona and Nicholas (Robyn) Lester of Goshen, Indiana; eight grandchildren; siblings, Linda (Ulysses) Peterson of Buckeye, Arizona, Carolyn Somerville of Oak Park, Illinois, Sharon Franklin of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Renee (Andrew) Jones of Portage, Michigan, Ethel "Pat" Colbert of Bangor, Michigan, Gregory (Teresa "Tina") Campbell of Bangor, Michigan and Kevin Campbell of Grand Rapids, Michigan; along with many extended family and friends. In keeping with Rickie's wishes his family will be having a celebration of his life on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1:30p.m.Sandy and Rickie's home where all are encouraged to attend and share memories of Rickie.
