Obituary of Verda Knoll

Verda J. (Wilcox) Knoll, 86, of Mishawaka passed away on June 12, 2016 at Your Home Assisted Care of South Bend, Indiana. She was born to the late Leon J. and Zelda L. (Pears) Wilcox on March 23, 1930 in Niles. She graduated from Niles High School in 1947 and has been a life-long resident of the area. Verda loved spending time with her grandchildren; she enjoyed many different types of crafts and playing cards with her Niles group. She will be remembered by most as a very strong woman who always took care of herself. She is preceded in death by her parents; Leon "LJ" Wilcox and Zelda L. Orias. Verda leaves to cherish her memory to her daughter; Patricia (James) Hayden of Mears, Mich., two granddaughters; Sarah (Martin) Kloha of Heroldsberg, Germany and Melissa Hayden of Cedar Lake, Indiana, two great grandchildren; Jack and Kate Kloha.
