Obituary of Karen Stinnett

Karen Rae (Wing) Stinnett, 67, of Edwardsburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 11, 2016 with her family by her side. Karen was born on April 2, 1949 to the late Verl and Eloda (Oliver) Wing in South Bend, Indiana. After graduating from Edwardsburg High School Karen went on to wed Frank Stinnett on, July 25, 1970, at a ceremony in Mishawaka, Indiana. Together the two had two sons. Karen was a long time teacher's aide and school employee for Edwardsburg Public Schools. After her children were grown she and Frank loved to spend their time traveling. She was on a bowling league and often went to competitions and tournaments. Her favorite tournament location was Las Vegas or anywhere that let her visit a casino. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Les Wing. She is survived by her husband of nearly 46 years, Frank Stinnett; sons, Frank (Lisa) Stinnett II of Edwardsburg and Heith (Scarlett) Stinnett of Edwardsburg; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and siblings, Ron (Vicki) Wing of Onalaska, Wisconsin, Cindy (Butch) Heller of Coon Valley, Wisonsin and Angie Wing of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Karen's family will be holding a celebration of her life at a later date.
