Obituary of Shirley Lambert

Shirley Ann Brown-Wilburn-Lambert, 73, of Muskegon went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at her home. She will be dearly missed by her family and everyone that knew her. She was born on March 29, 1943 in Humboldt, Tennessee to the late Willie and Martha (Curry) Brown. Shirley graduated from Benton Harbor High School and has been a life-long resident of the area. She was a beautician for many years and worked at Emma Bells Salon in Benton Harbor as well as other salons throughout her career; Shirley was also employed by Modern Plastics for over ten years. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Zion Church in Muskegon, Michigan and an active member at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. She enjoyed spending time gardening and bowling with her friends and family as well as on her bowling league. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; Willie and Martha Brown, son; Otis Wilburn Jr., Willie Lee Brown, Lula Wilburn, Alex Williams Sr., Betty Williams, Alberta Morgan Rand and Lizzie Atkins. She is survived by her children; Adrian Wilburn, of Muskegon, Denyil Wilburn-Hodges, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Willie (Maria) Wilburn, of Muskegon; favorite friend, Ruth Smith and niece Canvas Smith, along with a host of step-children, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
