Obituary of Jane E. Myers

Jane E. Myers, 88, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Hanson Hospice House in Stevensville. She was born on September 24, 1927 in La Porte, Indiana to the late Harry T. and Lillian M. (Mitchell) Baker. Jane married Charles Maynard and the couple raised four sons and a daughter. Several years after Charles passed; Jane married Richard Myers and joined their families by adding Richard's two sons. Jane retired after many years at the Simplicity Pattern Company. Jane had a variety of interest and especially enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing bingo and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Maynard, husband, Richard Myers, a son Charles Maynard, Jr., a daughter, Holly Jarman, three brothers; Carl Baker, Walter Baker, Arthur Stevens and three sisters; June Searing, Laura Hill and Nancy Harmon. Jane is survived by her sons; Larry (Michele) Maynard of Niles, David (Ann) Maynard of Bitely, Michigan, Harry (Patti) Maynard of Niles, stepsons, Richard "Dale" (Pam) Myers of Three Rivers and Mark (Susan) Myers of Beloit, Wisconsin, fourteen grandchildren; Michael (Rhonda) Maynard, Lorena Maynard (William Ewing), Randy Warner, David (Tif) Coffey, Michelle Maynard, Michelle Myers, Cameron Myers, Alison (Greg) Drewno, Mark (Karen) Myers, Jr., Duane Jarman, Jason Jarman, Travis (Amanda) Jarman, Candy Jarman and Madelyn Jarman, a host of great-grandchildren, and a sister, Sarah (Gene) Sims of La Porte, Indiana. A time of visitation for Mrs. Myers will take place at Brown Funeral Home in Niles on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Jane Myers will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A committal service will conclude the services at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
