Obituary of Kenneth Grove

Kenneth M. Grove, 72, of Benton Harbor, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph on Friday, August 12, 2016. Kenneth was born on April 26, 1944 to the late John and Marie (Taylor) Grove in South Haven, Michigan. Kenneth found his soulmate and on August 4, 2001 he wed Ginny at a ceremony on the North Pier in St. Joseph, Michigan. Kenneth enjoyed spending time outdoors including hunting, fishing and camping. He especially loved to camp in his RV. Kenneth also had a wonderful woodshop and enjoyed spending most of his time on woodworking projects in his shop when he was home. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Grove and Marie Taylor; his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Grove; and brother, Randy Grove. Kenneth is survived by his children, Michael (Mary) Grove of Forest Lake, Minnesota, Paula (David) Brewton of Pearland, Texas and Shelley (Bob) Moyer of St. Joseph, Michigan; stepson, Sean (Andrea) Truhn of St. Joseph, Michigan; grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Grove, Kylie and Tyler Brewton, and Jordan, Luke and Elizabeth Moyer; brother, Ronald (Jeanie) Grove of Michigan; and sister, Kathleen (Richard) Modigell of Willis, Michigan. In keeping with Kenneth's wishes he has chosen to donate his body to science. A celebration of life ceremony will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 3-5pm at the Dowagiac Conservation Club, 54551 M-51 North, Dowagiac.
