Obituary of Maybell Herman

Maybell Herman,73, of Niles, passed away at her residence on Friday, August 12, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 1, 1943 in Traytown, Newfoundland to the late Stephen and Amelia (Cane) Ralph. She married Lonnie L. Herman in 1960 and to that union had five children. Maybell was a homemaker for a good portion of her life. She enjoyed baking, knitting, painting and making clothes. She and her husband also enjoyed antiquing and traveling to local casinos. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lee Starr Herman. Maybell is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lonnie L. Herman of Niles, four children; Lorna Herman of Niles, Loretta (Jeff) Robbins of Pine Bulff, North Carolina, Lanimay Herman of Niles, and Stephen Herman (Shanna Lamberton) of Niles, nine grandchildren; Jessica, Kyra, Charli, Skylar, Taylor, Aiya, Riley, Carter, Tait, four great-grandchildren; Landon, Lucas, Keera and Olivia, a brother, Robert (Roberta) Ralph and sister, Helen Rose, all of Newfoundland. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with a time of visitation beginning two hours prior. An interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Buchanan. Memorial contributions may be made in Maybell's memory to the Sonya Ansari Autism Learning Center at 2505 E.
