Obituary of Kathleen Barlow

Kathleen Barlow, 82, of Niles, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 9, 2016 with her family surrounding her. She was born in New York on March 10, 1934, to the late; Charles and Josephine (Wolf) Skinner. On May 6, 1951, she married Lyman E. Barlow, who precedes her in death; together they raised four children. Kathy loved her family more than anything; she was everyone's caretaker and will be missed as the family matriarch. She loved a good deal at a garage sale, especially Fenton-Glassware. One of Kathy's great passions was baking; she'll be remembered most for her Christmas cookies, zucchini bread and rum cakes. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Josephine Skinner, husband; Lyman Barlow, brother; Fred Skinner, sisters; Ruth Schmeiser and Susan D'Avanzo. She is survived by her partner of 23 years; Wayne Ditson, son's; Donald (Gail), William (Vicki) and Ray Barlow, daughter; Lori (Ed) Barlow-Kirkland, sister; Marylou (Cyril) Reynolds, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
