Obituary of Larry D. Barron

Larry Dean Barron Sr., 60, of Battle Creek, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 with his loving sister by his side after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Larry was born on January 25, 1957, in Battle Creek Michigan. He was someone who could do anything that he put his mind to. From a young age he could take things apart and put them back together again, much to the dismay of his little sister whose things he liked to experiment on. Over the years, he held many various jobs including factory work, maintenance man, working on cars, driving a tow truck and finally working as a semi-truck driver which he was very proud of. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing with his brother, playing video games, listening to music, working on his computer, watching movies and T.V., and spending time with his family and his devoted dog Cocoa. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, who loved him like his own, Pauline (Robert) Beemer, father, Joseph Barron and siblings, William Thomas Barron, Dorothy Jean Barron, and Don Allen Barron. Larry is survived by his children, Larry Barron Jr. of Tennessee, Ruby (Bruce) Rollenhagen of Battle Creek, Robert (Barron) Moon of Bellevue, and Savanna Rose Barron of Battle Creek; six grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Dorothy) Barron of North Chesterfield, Virginia and Robin (Jim) Arney of Battle Creek; and many extended family members and close friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017, at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek at 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Larry's memory may do so to the family to help cover the cost of funeral expenses.
