Obituary of Elaine Kromer

Elaine Kromer, 83, of Niles, passed away at her residence on Sunday morning, October 16, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 5, 1933 in Niles to the late Hallie and Fern (True) Brewer. Elaine was married to William Kromer on January 12, 1952 in Angola, Indiana. Elaine will be remembered for being a mom to everyone in her community and a best friend. Elaine was most happy when she was caring for others. She enjoyed ceramics and mostly valued her time spent with family, especially cooking Thanksgiving dinners. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Kromer, a daughter, Deborah Ann Kromer and a grandson, Brad Kromer. Elaine is survived by her children; Sara Kromer, Mark (Darcy) Kromer and Karen Hopper, a grandson, Michael (Kristin) Kromer, all of Niles, four great-grandchildren; Cayden, Skyler Hudson and Rylan Kromer and two sisters, Ethel Lund and Belva Carnes, both of Niles. A celebration of Elaine's life will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. A private committal will be held by her family at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
