Obituary of James G. Smith

James Galen Smith, 74, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Timbers of Cass County.
He was born on September 18, 1942, to the late; Daniel J. and Vivian F. (Sanford) Smith, in Dowagiac, Michigan. James graduated from Dowagiac High School and has been a lifelong resident of the area his entire life.
James is preceded in death by his parents; Daniel James Smith and Vivian Florence Smith.
He is survived by his daughter, Lori (John) Hoyt, of Niles; son, Steven G. Smith, of Dowagiac and four grandchildren.

At James' request, cremation has taken place and his family will be remembering him privately.
