Obituary of Connie Lively

Connie Lively, 67, of Dowagiac, passed away at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Connie was born on February 26, 1949 to the late B.C. and Evelyn (Stonehill) Lively in Mishawaka, Indiana. After graduating from Mishawaka High School in 1968 Connie went on to attend beauty school. She loved listening to and playing all types of music. She could play the guitar, keyboard, drums, organ, and accordion. She was also an accomplished singer and song writer; she even had her own band at one time. For the past 16 years Connie has been a resident of Dowagiac with her partner and soul mate, Bev Allison. She was preceded in death by her parents and several extended family members. Connie is survived by her partner, Bev Allison, of Dowagiac; step-daughter, Tracy Hoglund; grand daughter, Jade Hoglund; step-sister, Rosemary (Gene) Mitchell; nephew, Brad Mitchell; and cousins Gary (Carol) Collier and Kim Lucas. Services to honor Connie's life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Connie's name to her family in care of Brown Funeral Home at 521 East Main Street, Niles.
