Theresa Young, 66, of Niles, passed away at Chalet of Niles on Friday, November 25, 2016.
Theresa was born on June 5, 1950 to Jerome and Leona Young in Niles, Michigan. After high school Theresa went on to become a nurse. She loved animals and spent much of her free time volunteering for Children & Horses United in Movement (CHUM) which teaches horse riding to children with disabilities. She even took her horse, Max, to many horse shows. Theresa loved spending time with her family traveling.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome, and sister, Jerri Sayer.
Theresa is survived by her mother, Leona, and brother, Bill Young of Niles.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Theresa's name may do so to CHUM Therapeutic Riding at PO Box 14, Mason, MI 48854.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Hope Community Church in Niles at 11:00 with a time of visitation one hour prior.
