Obituary of Teresa Darlett Wilcoxson

Teresa D. Wilcoxson, 52, of Hartford passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan. Teresa enjoyed traveling, making jewelry, horses, classic movies and always had a special place in her heart for her dogs. However, her greatest passion was her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, whether watching a classic Bing Crosby movie or going to an amusement park. She is preceded by her cherished daughter, Christina Spitzner. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Chanell Wilcoxson of Kalamazoo, her precious grandson, Noah VanLuke of Lawton, Mitchie Null of Pullman, whom she loved as a son, her father, Paul (Lois) Mathis of Schoolcraft, her mother Darla (William) Strong of Hartford. She will also be remembered by her siblings; Shawn Mathis (Tricia Stewart) of St. Joseph, Lisa Lambert (Tommy Ufkes) of Parchment, Daniel (Jacquelyn) Strong of Watervliet, Becky Abbott of Coloma, Lisa Bauske of Edwardsburg as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home at 521 E. Main Street, Niles, Michigan. A time of visitation will begin on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. She will have a private interment at Mission Hills Memorial Mausoleum, where she will be laid to rest with her daughter.
