I was "band buddies" with Greg during high school. He was always friendly to everyone and very funny. He and I spent many hours out on the marching band practice field cracking each other up. I always enjoyed his fun company. I don't think I ever saw Greg after high school. Reading the comments of others assures me that he was a deeply caring and life-loving man who was obviously a devoted Dad. That makes me feel good. I send my warmest wishes to Greg's family and hope that my little memory of him written here makes you smile.

It's difficult to say good-bye when someone we love dies, To know we'll miss the laughter and the love found in their eyes, Yet much emptiness and heartache, much loneliness and sorrow, Will be eased by cherished memories living on in us tomorrow. May your sorrow be less and your memories more dear with every passing day. Our thoughts are with you at this time. Kathy Rozinski Phipps and LHS Classmates of 1967

Greg was a very dear and loving person. He touched so many youth through his coaching. His sincere dedication to kids showed how much he loved his girls. My girls as well as our family have so many wonderful memories of the countless hours spent together at the ball field. When we met the Forrester family we gained a whole new meaning of the word Friends. Greg I know your family will sorely miss you as will the numerous friends you have made throughout the years. Rest in peace my friend. It's now time to sit in the outfield and enjoy the game!!!

SUN RISE TO SUN SET
From the first time I met you I was greeted with a smile..
Overlooking your own present state and trials..
After a firm hand shake and formal introductions..
With ease we begin several discussions..
Even though we just met, I felt like I already known you!
You shared with me some of your fears and things that concerns you..
I felt good that we got along so well..
You told me what you wanted most, was your beautiful daughters to go on and do well!
I replied, yesTHEY'RE strong they will, for sure!
You smiled and said I know they're FORRESTERS...
Over the next few months I found out exactly what that meant. .
VISIT after visit I never seen complain or vent..
It was clear and evident being a FORRESTER MEANT, SHOWING STRENGTH.
Fot those around you that you LOVED the MOST.
You kept your since of humor and kept me (every one else) laughing with your jokes..
I was happy to introduce you to my son, as my friend..
I want you to know I will keep my promise the very best I can..
BUT it's still a few things that I just didn't get the chance to say..
Thank you for accepting me from the very first day..
Thank you for your beautiful daughters especially NICOLE..
SHE IS and has been INCREDIBLE and I LOVE HER but this you already know..
THANK you for fighting as long as hard as you did..
Thank you for showing me different ways a father can love your kids..
So from me (Anthony) Nicole, Megan, Justin, Vickey and Karen and Uncle Bill..
We love you and will hold on to the good memories still..
Will love live learn in the memory of you with no REGRETS FROM SUNRISE to SUNSET

I may not have had the pleasure of meeting you but I do know your daughter, Megan, and that alone tells me you had to be an amazingly loving father and a kind-hearted person. I know she loves you dearly and that you must be so proud of her. Thank you so much for raising and bringin into this world one of my best friends!

Greg Forrester was a great man and an awesome father. Greg enjoyed bowling, golfing and baseball. Greg made friends with whoever he met. He coached his daughters' softball teams for many years.
