Obituary of Helen L. Phillips

Helen L. (Quillen) Phillips, 94, of Niles, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Granger, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 29, 1922 in New Philadelphia, Ohio to the late Birgous and Mary (Meese) Quillen. Helen married Robert A. Phillips at a ceremony in Gary, Indiana. She worked for many years at Simplicity Pattern Company in Niles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and eleven brothers and sisters. Helen is survived by her children; Robert (Carol) Phillips of Niles, Ronald (Judy) Phillips of Niles, Sharon (Dave) Biek of Granger, nine grandchildren; Robert (Sue) Phillips, Tim Phillips, Brad Phillips, Randy (Lori) Phillips, Kevin (Betsy) Phillips, Kurt (Kristy) Phillips, Shelly (Pierre) Pereira, Lisa (Shawn) Conery and Michael (Linda) Biek, two step-grandchildren, Johnathan and Jennifer Wiseman, nineteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Edna Sheldon of Denver, Colorado and Francis Kidwell of Niles. In keeping with her wishes, her family will be celebrating her life privately. She will be laid to rest at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
