Obituary of Bryan D. Bakeman

Bryan D. Bakeman, 41, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born on January 31, 1975 in Niles to Maurice and Leslee Bakeman.
Bryan enjoyed spending time outdoors including hunting, camping and especially fishing. He was an avid sports fan and a history enthusiast. Bryan was a very giving person always assisting in any way he could.
He is survived by his parents, Maurice "Sonny" and Leslee Bakeman of Dowagiac, his sisters; Lorinda (Dewey Chester) Bakeman and Lynn Bakeman both of Mishawaka and Linette (Herb) Ward of Decatur, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, his girlfriend Dina Rodriguez of Edwardsburg and countless friends.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51 in Niles. A celebration of Bryan's life will be held at a later time.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bryan's memory to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berrien and Cass Counties to continue his passion for helping children.
