Obituary of Charles Williams

Charles Ray Williams, 51, of Niles, passed away at his home on, Monday, January 1, 2018. Charles, who was fondly remembered by his friends as "Uncle Charlie", was born on June 25, 1966, to the late Walter and Patricia Williams in Buchanan. After graduating from Benton Harbor High School, Charlie went on to work for over 15 years at Electro-voice and later became the supervisor at Sparkle Quick Lube. Charlie was a happy-go-lucky guy who made friends with everyone he met. When he wasn't working he loved watching the Andy Griffith Show. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Williams and Patricia Freeling. Charlie is survived by his children, Cruiz Cox of Mishawaka, Tyler Williams of Niles, and Sara-Linn Williams of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; siblings, James Leroy (Maggie) Haygood of Grand Junction, Michigan, Jeff (Raina) Haygood of Grand Junction, Michigan, Laurie Simmons of Buchanan, Walter Williams of Mobile, Alabama, Michael (Judee) Williams of Buchanan, and Gregg Williams of Niles; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 6, 2017, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles at 2:00 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at noon.
