Great Uncle Charlie was a beautiful soul, and like my cousin Ingrid said, was the glue of the Moore clan and instilled in us that family matters. He had astonishing taste, and I will cherish all of the memories that I have shared with him, I will never forget visiting him at his home in Chicago and Michigan. I'm beyond happy that he came out to Colorado for my brother and sister in laws wedding. He loved his family, friends and his dogs. I am honored to know such a wonderful man and to call him family. You will always be missed, and remembered Uncle Charlie, I love you! Until we meet again... xoxo

I was honored, as one of his nurses, to help care for this sweet man. I enjoyed visiting with him and hearing about his incredible life story. Being a world traveler and being well-informed about many subjects, he was interesting and inspiring. He was a successful trail-blazer in his field yet so humble regarding these accomplishments. His remarkable career meant little to him during those last few months - instead, he talked about his faithful dog Butterscotch and about his devoted and wonderful friends, who visited daily and celebrated Charlie's remaining days with him in style.
Charlie would say the funniest things and have me laughing for hours. Imagine that.... this wonderful man, sick in a hospice bed, and joking with the staff. No matter how crazy the situation, Charlie would find a way to see the humor in it...what a gift. He was endearing to the staff, who would search the facility just to find him a regular Coke (one that wasn't diet) or something that sounded good for him to eat.
I was Charlie's nurse the night before he died, and I was careful to keep his lights dim (except for his beautiful Christmas tree), kept the soft music playing, and made sure that he was comfortable. I talked to him and reassured him several times during the night and held his hand. That he donated his body to science does not surprise me and speaks volumes about his generosity and courage.
Just by being himself and by his own example, Charlie has made me a better person and a better nurse. I miss him every day.

I met Charlie, and the whole Moore family, about 50 years ago when I started dating and later married his nephew Eric.
When I came on the scene he was a young business owner. Because of Charlie all our lives became much richer.
He hosted most of the family holidays and wow as you can guess they were magical. His "joy de vie" will be truly missed.
I feel we all have been so blessed to have Charlie in our lives.
So I send many prayers to you Charlie, as you go on to your next "excellent adventure "
Love Belinda AKA Lynn

Great Uncle Charlie was a man who stood above the rest in manners, impeccable taste, sense of humor, and grace! He was the glue of the Moore clan and instilled in us that family matters. From employing Eric with his first job to showering all of us with elaborate Christmas gifts whose wrappings were as wonderful as the gift inside; to providing the place for Ingrid and Sean to meet and launch their story. We will miss you greatly and will carry on in our hearts all the memories you gave us. Cheers to you Uncle Charlie!
Love, Eric, Belinda, Ingrid, Sean, Christian, Samantha, Astrid, Leif, Bergen, Thomdale, Lucinda (Bear and Gaucho).

My Uncle Charlie will be missed very much. He was loved by all and had the biggest heart in the world. I have great memories working with him and sharing great times with family events. He was always ready for a party and I'm sure he is in heaven right now organizing one. I love you very much Charlie and you will always be in my heart. Tina

"Uncle Charlie," as I came to know him as Marta Monson's Uncle, was a kind, considerate man.
He helped take care of the family and was always there for Marta. His passing is sad news and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I'm very sad to just learn of the passing of "Uncle Charlie" as I came to know him through his beloved niece, Marta Monson who took a special interest in Charlie and has been there for him in his final days. Charlie was an amazing, articulate man who had many passions in life including his art, various businesses that he owned, his friends, love for cooking and his beloved dog, Butterscotch. He will be missed by all. My condolences to Marta, her siblings, nieces, nephews and his wonderful friend, Larry.
