Obituary of Chad Pond

Chad Alan Pond, 29, of Dowagiac, passed away due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Chad was born on June 23, 1987, to Kim and Susan (Smith) Pond in Paw Paw, Michigan. He attended Dowagiac High School and was currently working as a truck driver for Christianson Trucking. He was preceded in death by his son, Silas; grandparents, Harry and Betty Pond and Gerald Smith. Chad is survived by his children, Zoey Pond and Sydney Pond and their mother, Miranda Miller-Pond; parents, Kim and Susan; grandmother, Arlene Harrison; sister, April (Tony) Bouwens; best friend, Garry Pond; girlfriend, Marlene Green who is pregnant; and many extended family members and close friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Hope Community Church in Niles at 2:00 p.m. with a time of visitation two hours prior.
